Betrothed: Obedience Births the New
Betrothed was birthed through making bracelets as a gift for women attending a conference, where Zalika Women's ministry was birthed.
God led us to make bracelets that had armour pendants on it to remind us of the importance to clothe ourselves in Jesus daily. To remind us that our lives should be lived out of the place which grace afforded us. And once this ministry was launched, I felt the Lord's promise on it. The jewellery designs would come forth from Him that speaks a prophetic message to His bride.
The name Betrothed speaks of the promise that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption, when Christ will come for His bride. Each piece of jewellery is unique, it might have the same design, but then it will have a different colour as even the colour has meaning and purpose.
I started making bracelets with different pendents that reflected scriptures and would speak to the person wearing it. It would be a reminder of His promises. Now I just allow the Holy Spirit to lead me in designing items, knowing that the anointing rest on it and will bless the person wearing it in a special way. It's a physical sign of Christ adorning His bride, but the spiritual adornment is of far greater importance. Even though we dress up and make ourselves beautiful for our husband and King... it is the knowing that our identity is in Him, He chose us and called us, that makes us shine brighter.
So Betrothed was birthed by simply listening to the Spirit of God and being obedient. I didn't know where to start or what to do, but God ignited me and got it done. Because of obedience the fruit is blessed and reaches further than we could ever imagine.
